Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 1.03%, while the index declined 1.10%, and the index lost 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the were Adidas AG (ETR:), which rose 3.16% or 5.40 points to trade at 176.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) added 1.11% or 2.30 points to end at 209.50 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was up 0.94% or 0.21 points to 22.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which fell 3.83% or 0.86 points to trade at 21.60 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 3.49% or 9.20 points to end at 254.20 and Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 2.99% or 2.22 points to 71.98.
The top performers on the MDAX were Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which rose 4.82% to 23.92, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which was up 1.61% to settle at 107.50 and Puma SE (ETR:) which gained 1.50% to close at 51.42.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 4.89% to 24.98 in late trade, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which lost 3.97% to settle at 58.08 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which was down 3.54% to 6.86 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which rose 4.82% to 23.92, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 0.96% to settle at 20.98 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which gained 0.89% to close at 1.71.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 4.64% to 6.78 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.49% to settle at 254.20 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was down 3.46% to 21.22 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 417 to 222 and 92 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.49% or 9.20 to 254.20. Shares in Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) fell to all time lows; falling 4.89% or 1.28 to 24.98. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.49% or 9.20 to 254.20.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 7.39% to 20.19 a new 3-months high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.58% or 30.65 to $1,966.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.57% or 2.20 to hit $87.64 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.15% or 1.93 to trade at $91.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 106.20.
