Genel Energy said the gross production of its Tawke license in Iraq was 25,984 barrels of oil a day for its third quarter following the reopening of the Tawke field.
The London-listed oil company–which owns a 25% working interest in Tawke–noted on Monday that the license’s operator DNO ASA said that the contractor share of crude oil from the field during the quarter was sold to local buyers who had pre-paid. It said no crude oil was delivered to the Kurdistan Regional Government for export by pipeline through Turkey.
Production has ramped up since the reopening of the Tawke field on July 18, almost four months after production was halted following the closure of the Iraq-Turkey pipeline, it said. The Iraq-Turkey pipeline remains closed.

Corrections & Amplifications
This was corrected at 953 GMT because the original version incorrectly said that the Iraq-Turkey pipeline had reopened. The Iraq-Turkey pipeline remains closed but production at the Tawke field has restarted.
