Hertz Global Holdings has hired the president of the largest Carrier Global unit to be its next chief operating officer.
The car-rental company said Tuesday that Justin Keppy will officially join the C-suite on Nov. 15.
Keppy most recently served as president of Carrier’s North American residential and light commercial HVAC segment, its largest business line. Hertz said Keppy joined the Carrier unit at the onset of the pandemic and managed to drive exceptional top-line growth during a complex time for the company.
Prior to Carrier, Keppy held senior roles at UTC Aerospace Systems and Hamilton Sundstrand. He’s also worked in leadership positions for Shawmut, Ford Motor and the U.S. Army.
“Justin is a seasoned leader with more than 25 years of operational experience in both the private sector and the U.S. military,” Hertz Chief Executive Stephen Scherr said.
Keppy is coming in less than two months after Hertz’s former operations chief, Paul Stone, left the company to return to the retail sector.
